Beyond Goldwing
Valkyrie and Rocket III Darkside Tire Sizes
Goldwing is the center of gravity for this site, but it is not the whole darkside world. Search demand also clusters around Valkyrie, Rocket III, VTX, Harley touring, and FJR darkside threads. The first two have enough strong source signal to deserve their own guide.
Valkyrie GL1500: 205/60R16 Is the Big Cluster
Valkyrie searches repeatedly land around 205/60R16 and nearby 195/60R16 discussion. Our finder currently carries source-backed Valkyrie cards for Goodyear Assurance TripleTred, General Altimax HP, Michelin CrossClimate 2, and Michelin Primacy MXV4 in the 205/60R16 family.
The newer CrossClimate 2 discussion is useful because it reads like a modern replacement search, not just an old archive. Riders describe handling feel, pressure, age, and wear expectations, which gives us better editorial material than a bare tire-name list.
Rocket III: Wider Tires, Strong Mileage Anecdotes
The Triumph Rocket III darkside cluster is different because the bike already uses a huge rear motorcycle tire. Reports around Goodyear Eagle F1 245/50R16 are especially useful because one rider thread gives a clear mileage story. Toyo 245/55R16 and Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS 225/60R16 show up as adjacent Rocket III references.
With Rocket III, diameter changes matter for gearing, speedometer behavior, and the feel of the bike. The finder should keep those notes attached to the card instead of flattening everything into one "fits" label.
What Comes Next
VTX, Harley touring, and FJR darkside searches are real, but they need cleaner post-level sources before we publish confident tire cards. A forum category, a general "best tire" thread, or a rider planning to order a tire is not the same as a report with motorcycle model, tire size, pressure, mileage, handling notes, and follow-up.
